Nordic Capital new owner of Thule

Private equity firm Nordic Capital acquires the Thule Group from the UK private equity firm Candover.

“Thule welcomes Nordic Capital as the new owner of Thule. Nordic Capital has followed us very closely during the past four years and mutual trust has been established. Strategically, we will continue with our buy and build strategy with the aim of creating a one billion Euro company by 2009”, comments Anders Pettersson, President & CEO for Thule.

Thule acquires Anhaenger-center.com, a leading German rental trailer company

Malmö, May 8th, 2006 - Thule, the world leader in Sports Utility Transportation,
announces the acquisition of anhaenger-center.com, a leading German rental trailer
company. Anhaenger-center.com is family owned. The company is based in Neu Ulm
showing annual sales of € 2.5 million (23 MSEK) with good profitability.

“Germany has a huge potential when it comes to the Rental concept”, says Kenneth
Lundahl, Division President for Thule’s Trailer division. “Anhaenger-center.com is a
very good hub to enter the German market utilizing our know-how of the Scandinavian
Rental system”, Kenneth Lundahl continues.

from the Thule Rental organization will be vital to capture further growth in the German

Germany has around 55 million cars of which around 6 million have towbars. The
Rental market is strongly expanding foremost through new establishments at gas
stations. Anhaenger-center.com is the only full service provider on the German market
and has seen double digit growth rates since its start in 2001. During the integration
phase anhaenger-center.com will change name to Thule Rental.

Eldon Rental Trailer:sta Thule Rental
Vaihdamme nimeä. Eldon Rental Trailer:sta tulee Thule Rental. Yykisuuntaisten vaunujen uudelleenprofilointi on meneillään. Puolet n. 500 kpl, on jo valmiiina ja loput vuodenvaihteeseen 2004-2005 menessä.
Yksisuuntainen vaunuvuokraus ei ole tällä hetkellä ajankohtainen Suomessa.

Thule Rental on aloittanut paikallisten perävaunujen vuokrauksen Saksan öljy-yhtiöiden kautta. Perävaunujamme on Shell- ja ESSO-asemilla.
Thule Rentalin vuokrauskonsepti vaikuttaa kiinnostavan Pohjoismaiden ulkopuolellakin, joten meillä on hyvät mahdollisuudet toiminnan laajentamiseen tulevaisuudessa.
